Project Shoedesign

I created this shoe model after the topic of my trend collection, which I called Modition and Tradern. I produced all aspects of this shoe, starting with the pattern of the shoe, and finished the project under the professional instruction of a shoemaker in Dresden. 

In my trend collection, I was reseaching the German society trends of 2016. I concluded that our generation is dealing with a lot of new technology as well as a return to old values. 

The puzzle pieces symbolize the combination of tradition and the modern age. The front of the shoe is like a computer mouse, the cable and the transparent plastic are a metaphor for digitalization. They stand in contrast to the original material of the shoe; the leather and their tradition.
